Hanafi jurist and theologian (b. Balıkesir 1523), affiliated with the Bayramiyye order. He was appointed professor at the medrese in Birgi in 1566 and lived there until the end of his life. He died of plague during a visit to Istanbul (981/1573) and was brought back for burial in Birgi (Ödemiş, İzmir). He authored some sixty works, including et-Tarikatü'l-Muhammediyye, el-Avamil and the Vasiyetname.
