A Ba 'Alawi sayyid styled 'Fakhr al-Wujud,' who settled in the village of Inat (ʿAynat) east of Tarim and built a major center of learning and Sufism there. He had a wide circle of disciples and descendants across Hadramawt and the diaspora. He died in 992/1583 and is buried in the cemetery named after him at Inat, with a dome erected over his grave.
