The sheikh who spread the Uşşaki (Halveti) order in Nazilli. After his death he was succeeded by his son, the poet Ali Galib Vasfi Efendi. He is buried with his wife and children in the tomb known locally as the 'Green Tomb' on the Nazilli-Bozdoğan road, built in 1814, eight years after his death.
