Hanafi jurist and scholar of legal methodology and hadith who lived in Tire during the Aydınoğulları period; also known as Firishteoglu. He taught at the medrese built by Aydınoğlu Mehmed Bey in Tire. He met Sayyid Sharif al-Jurjani, who accompanied Timur to Tire after the Battle of Ankara. Author of Sharh Manar al-anwar and Mabariq al-azhar; he died and was buried in Tire (his death is dated to 821/1418 or 822/1419).
