Per the tomb inscription read by İbrahim Hakkı Konyalı, his real name was as-Sayyid Fahreddin al-Husayni al-Mashhadi al-Hanafi Ahmed Pasha, a sayyid descended from Husayn and of Mashhad origin. He is buried in the tomb within the precinct now known as the Zeyve Sultan Mosque in central Karaman; death given as c.1421.
