Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Husayni al-Kirmani, born in Aleppo (1330), a Sufi poet and founder of the Ni'matullahi order, a major tariqa still active in Iran, India, the USA and Europe. He died in Mahan in 1431, aged over a hundred. His shrine in Mahan (Kerman province) is one of Iran's important pilgrimage sites. (Sources: TDV; ArchNet site 1637.)
