Ibn Arafa (1316-1401), one of the greatest Maliki jurists of North Africa under the Hafsids and Grand Mufti of the Zaytuna Mosque/University. He authored al-Mukhtasar and Hudud Ibn Arafa and is known for disputes with Ibn Khaldun. He died in 803/1401 in Tunis and was buried in the Jellaz Cemetery. (Sources: TDV; Wikidata Q3147436.)
