Sidi Bou Said (Abu Said Khalaf ibn Yahya al-Tamimi al-Baji, c. 1156-1231), an Arab Tunisian saint and Sufi scholar born in Beja. A disciple of Abu Madyan, known as the teacher of Abu'l-Hasan ash-Shadhili. He retired to a ribat on Mount El Manar overlooking the Gulf of Tunis; the town around his shrine bears his name.
