A sheikh who lived in Ahlat, with a waqf and zawiya founded in his name; his inscribed tomb dated 619/1222 is among the oldest surviving structures in Ahlat. It appears in 1540 tax registers as 'Vakf-ı mezâr-ı Şeyh Necmüddîn-i Hivâyî.' The two-story, square-planned tomb (upper floor arranged as a mosque) stands in the cemetery beside the Erzen Hatun kümbet (Erkizan). (Sources: Erdem Journal; Archnet, 'Şeyh Necmettin Tomb, Ahlat')
