A dervish-sheikh active around İncesu during the Islamization of Anatolia, linked in popular memory to the tradition of Ahmad Yasawi. He was the first sheikh and endowment-administrator of the zâviye on Tekke Dağı southwest of İncesu, built by Mahperi Huand Hatun, wife of Seljuk Sultan Alâeddin Keykubad I; he was alive when the endowment deed was drawn (638/1240) and is said to have died around the lodge's completion (c. 640/1243). His exact dates are disputed. (Sources: 'Kayseri'nin İncesu İlçesinde Şeyh Turesan Zâviyesi', Belleten 44/174, 1980; Türkiye Turizm Ansiklopedisi.)
