A jurist and Sufi of Tarim in Hadramawt, regarded as the spiritual founder of the Ba 'Alawi sada lineage. He is famed for having 'broken his sword' to devote himself to the Sufi path, and is considered the master (pir) of the Ba 'Alawi tariqa.
