A Tarim-based Sufi of the Ba 'Alawi line regarded as the eponymous ancestor of the Aydarus family; he was the father of Abu Bakr al-Aydarus, patron saint of Aden. He left a large circle of disciples and descendants in Tarim. He died in 865/1461 and is buried in the Zanbal cemetery of Tarim, with a dome over his grave.
