Sidi Yahya al-Tadelsi was a 15th-century saint of Timbuktu who served as the first imam (1441) of the mosque that bears his name. He died around 1464 and is buried inside the mosque, part of the Timbuktu UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2012 jihadists forced open the mosque's sacred door; the structure was later repaired.
