A Sufi said to have been born in 1291 in Mecca of Qurayshi lineage, who came to the Sylhet region as a companion (disciple) of Shah Jalal. Around 1315 he founded the village of Shaharpara with his disciples, one of the earliest settlements in the area. He died in 1385 and was buried in his mausoleum at Shaharpara (Jagannathpur, Sunamganj). His lineage is traditionally traced to the Shah Jalal (Suhrawardi-Jalali) line. His exact Hijri death date is unclear in the sources, given as 1385 CE.
