Abu Abdillah Jalaluddin Husayn b. Ahmad al-Bukhari, honoured as "Makhdum-i Jahaniyan" (Master of the World) and "Jahangasht" (World-Traveller), was a major Suhrawardi-Bukhari shaykh. Born in 707/1308 in Uch and died there in 785/1384, he belonged to the dargah of his grandfather Jalaluddin Surkh-Posh Bukhari (d. 690/1290), founder of the Bukhariyya branch. He travelled through the Hijaz, Khorasan, Bukhara, Iraq, Syria and Egypt and shaped the Jalaliyya order.
