A divan poet, Sufi and eye-physician of Germiyanid Kütahya. Real name Yûsuf Sinâneddîn; he studied literature, mysticism and medicine in Iran, then became physician to Germiyan ruler Yâkub Bey II. After treating Çelebi Mehmed's eyes in 1415 he became famed as 'Hekim Sinan'; his 'Hüsrev ü Şîrîn' and 'Harnâme' are landmarks of Turkish literature.
