Sheikh Burhan al-Din Sagarji
A Sufi shaykh who spread Islam among the nomads of Eastern Turkestan; mentioned in Ibn Battuta's Rihla. He died in China and his remains were brought to Samarkand by his son Abu Said. His mausoleum was built by Amir Timur in 1380; he is buried in the Rukhabad Mausoleum near Gur-e-Amir. (Sources: Wikidata Q4273779; meros.uz.)
