A Halveti sheikh born in Amasya, also known as Gümüşlüzâde. After joining the Halveti order in Shirvan under Sadreddin-i Hiyavi, he returned to Amasya in 1405 and worked to spread the Halvetiyya in Anatolia, his lodge (endowed in 1413 by Yakub Pasha) becoming the order's center. He died in 1433 and is buried in the Pir Ilyas (Yukarı Pirler) tomb near Çilehane Mosque.
