Syekh Muhammad Jamil Jaho ("Inyiak Jaho," 1875–1945) was a Naqshbandi scholar and teacher from the village of Jaho in Tanah Datar. He founded the Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah (MTI) Jaho and in 1928 co-founded the Persatuan Tarbiyah Islamiyah (Perti). He wrote on legal methodology, logic and Sufism, including Tadzkiratul Qulub fil Muraqabah. He died in 1945, and his grave at Jaho is a key stop on the Tanah Datar ziarah route.
