Sheikh Shefqet Shehu, born in 1900 in Gjakova (Yakova), was a Saadi sheikh who led the Big Tekke (Teqja e Madhe) â the city's oldest Saadi lodge â from 1929 to 1952; a descendant of the founder Sulejman Axhiza Baba (tekke founded 1582), he received his hilafetname in Damascus in 1928. He died on 11 March 1952. A tĂŒrbe was built over his grave near the Llukac bridge in Gjakova and is recorded as the 'Ćeyh Ćefket TĂŒrbesi' in Raif Virmiça's inventory.
