A sayyid scholar and Naqshbandi-Khalidi guide, founder of the Zilan branch of the Khalid al-Jazari lineage. Born in 1826 in Zilan village (today in Batman province), he studied under scholars such as Molla Khalil al-Siirdi and received authorization from Shaykh Khalid al-Gulpawari. He spent many years in spiritual guidance across southeastern Anatolia. His tomb is in the cemetery of Örmegözü (Kanireval) village, Beşiri; a large commemoration is held each May.
