Buried in the Harran Gate (Harrankapı) Cemetery of Şanlıurfa, Sheikh Muslim Hafiz was a scholar, Qur'an-memorizer and Sufi, a khalifa of the Naqshbandi-Khalidi branch under Sheikh Abdurrahman of Kirkuk. He memorized the Qur'an in childhood and recited it at Hasan Padişah Mosque, and led the recovery of mosques sold off in Urfa between 1930-1950; he died in 1958.
