Syekh Ibrahim Musa Parabek ("Inyiak Parabek," 1884–1963) was a reformist scholar and expert in comparative jurisprudence, born at Parabek near Bukittinggi. He studied in Mecca under Ahmad Khatib al-Minangkabawi, and on returning founded the Sumatera Thawalib Parabek madrasa, becoming a pioneer of modern Islamic education. He died on 25 July 1963 and is buried in front of the Jami' Parabek mosque, a visited pilgrimage site.
