A late-Ottoman and early-Republican scholar and madrasa teacher of the Kumru/Fizme area (1860–1957). He studied at the Kumru medrese and under Mustafa Efendi of Korgan and Hacı Yusuf Efendi of Ünye, founded two madrasas, taught for about forty years and granted ijazah twice. He died in 1957 aged 97.
