One of the last Mevlevi sheikhs, a Sufi poet and scholar (Kayseri 1872 – Kayseri 6 November 1944). Born into a Mevlevi family, he became the last sheikh of the Üsküdar Mevlevihane and was renowned as a librarian and divan poet. He was buried in the cemetery of the Seyyid Burhâneddin Tomb in Kayseri, where his ancestors and his brother Şeyh Hüsâmeddin Efendi also rest.
