Seyyid Fehim-i Arvasi (1825-1895) was one of the great Naqshbandi-Khalidi scholars and saints of Eastern Anatolia, regarded as the thirty-third link in the chain of saints (silsila). Born in the village of Arvas (today Doğanyayla) in the Bahçesaray (Müküs) district of Van, he was initiated by Taha al-Hakkari. He died in the same village in 1895; his grandson and successor was Seyyid Abdülhakim Arvasi. His grave lies in Arvas (Doğanyayla) and is visited by his devotees.
