Molla Ahmed el-Cezerî (Melayê Cizîrî; full name Ahmed b. Muhammed el-Bôtî el-Cezerî) was a 16th-17th century Sufi, scholar and one of the most important divan poets of classical Kurdish literature. Born in Cizre, he studied at the madrasas of Diyarbakır, Hakkâri and İmâdiye, then taught as a professor (müderris) at the Kırmızı Medrese (Red Madrasa / Medresa Sor) in Cizre, where he composed his famous Dîvân. He died in Cizre in 1640. His tomb is in the mausoleum section of the historic Kırmızı Medrese in the Dağkapı neighbourhood of Cizre.
