A saint of Antep born in 1822, popularly known as 'Ali Baba' or 'Ali Akif Efendi.' He began his religious studies at the Şeyh Mosque madrasa and studied under Kilisli Baytazzade Abdullah Efendi for thirty years, later preaching and counselling the people for many years. He died in 1905; his tomb inscription is dated H.1323 (1905). His tomb is in the Şehreküstü/Ünaldı area of Gaziantep and remains a place of visitation.
