A Sufi and author of the Bayramiyye order, affiliated with Hacı Bayrâm-ı Velî. His most famous work is the Muhammediyye, a Turkish verse work on the Prophet completed at Gelibolu in 853 (1449); he also wrote the Arabic Meġāribü’z-zamân. He lived in Gelibolu together with his brother Ahmed Bîcan and died there in 855 (1451). His grave lies in the tomb within the precinct of the mosque now known as the Yazıcıoğlu Mosque.
