Kara Davut Efendi was a scholar and Sufi of the Bayramiyye order, one of the successors of Haci Bayram-i Veli. According to the inscription in his tomb he died in 1453. His grave is in the courtyard of the village mosque in Kuyumcutekke village, Beypazari district, Ankara, and remains an active site of visitation.
