A Sufi figure renowned for his karamat, known as 'Gus Miek'; founder of the Dzikrul Ghofilin devotion, the nightly Mujahadah Lailiyah, and the Qur'an-listening assembly Sema'an Jantiko Mantab. Born on 17 August 1940 in Ploso, Kediri, the son of KH Ahmad Djazuli Utsman (custodian of Pesantren Al-Falah). He died on 5 June 1993 and is buried in the Tambak cemetery at Ngadi, Mojo, Kediri; his grave draws crowds of pilgrims year-round.
