An early Muslim, a scribe of revelation, and one of the four commanders of the conquest of Syria. He died in the plague of Amwas in 18 AH. His burial place is disputed: TDV gives Wadi al-Yabis (northern Ghor) while tourism sources point to Tabqat Fahl/Pella, with four competing claimed tombs. With no corroborated coordinate, the location is left null. (Sources: TDV İslam Ansiklopedisi 'Şurahbil b. Hasene'; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shurahbil_ibn_Hasana)
