An 18th-century Sufi saint regarded as one of the foremost saints of the Chittagong (Chattogram) region of eastern Bengal. He founded the Khanqah Amanatiya and taught within the Naqshbandi and Qadiri orders. His shrine near Laldighi draws large crowds, especially during Ramadan; Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport is named after him.
