The foremost Islamic scholar and reformer of 18th-century India — a muhaddith, exegete and thinker. He taught at the Madrasa Rahimiyya and authored revivalist works, most famously 'Hujjat Allah al-Baligha.' Buried in Delhi's Mehdiyan cemetery near Delhi Gate, beside his father Shah Abdur Rahim.
