A preacher of Islam in Java and a descendant of the Prophet through the Ba'syaiban sayyids; his father was Abdurrahman Basyaiban and his mother Syarifah Khadijah, of the Cirebon sultanate lineage. He is regarded as the founder of Pesantren Sidogiri in Pasuruan (c.1745). He fell ill and died during a journey at Mojoagung; his grave lies in Mancilan village, Mojoagung, Jombang, and is continually visited. His exact death year is uncertain (mid-18th century).
