Dawud al-Qarsi

An Ottoman scholar from Kars who spent his last fifteen years in Birgi, teaching Arabic, exegesis, hadith, theology, logic and timekeeping at the Birgi Grand Mosque madrasa. He died at Birgi in 1169/1756 and, per his will, was buried beside İmam Birgivî. (Sources: TDV 'Dâvûd-i Karsî')
