An early Sufi of Baghdad; student of Ma'ruf al-Karkhi and uncle and master of Junayd al-Baghdadi. He died in 251/865 and was buried in the Shuniziyya cemetery beside Junayd. No independent tomb-precise coordinate could be confirmed. (Sources: TDV 'Serî es-Sakatî'; Wikipedia 'Sari al-Saqati'.)
