Originally a Byzantine nobleman (Mikhael Kosses), the tekfur of Harmankaya, who became a close companion-in-arms of Osman Gazi; he converted to Islam in 1313, taking the name Abdullah. He guided early Ottoman conquests and died at Yenişehir in 1327. His tomb is in Harmanköy village (İnhisar), a place of visitation with annual commemorations each September. NOTE: a gazi-companion rather than a Sufi saint; his tomb is popularly venerated. (Sources: TDV İslam Encyclopedia 'Mihaloğulları'; Bilecik Governorate; Kültür Envanteri)
