According to the tomb inscription he is counted among the Khorasani Turkmen dervishes, a reputed disciple of Khwaja Ahmad Yasawi who came from Turkestan to Anatolia with his wife Ünzile Hatun. His tomb sits on a rock above the E-25 road in the Ahmediye (formerly Adliye) neighborhood of Arifiye and is a popular faith-tourism site; his 'ant' legend lives on in local folklore. Biographical details rest largely on oral tradition (marked makam/legendary). (Sources: Sakarya Directorate of Culture and Tourism; Sakarya University Şehir Hafızası)
