A Naqshbandi scholar born in 1822 (AH 1238) in Zermek (Yeldeğirmeni) village of the Kiğı district of Bingöl, educated in Erzurum. He authored 'Imad al-Islam' on matters of faith and worship and is said to descend from the Prophet. He died in 1908 (AH 1326) in his native village and was buried in his home's garden, where his sons built a tomb; it was damaged in a 1987 landslide and later restored.
