Süleyman Vehbi Efendi (Yasemzade) was born in 1241/1825 in Venek (Örnek) village, Pazar district of Rize. A noted Rize scholar, he had a medrese education and worked as a teacher; he is said to have served under Sultan Abdülaziz. He died in 1911. His grave near the old village mosque built by his father was turned into a kümbet-style tomb, one of the tomb monuments of the three scholars of Rize. (Source: B. M.
