A 17th-century scholar, Sufi and poet born in Doğubayazıt, writing in Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Kurdish, of Shafiʿi-Ashʿari line and Naqshbandi disposition. His most famous work is the Kurdish mathnawi Mem û Zîn; he also composed the versified dictionary Nubahara Bichukan. He died in Doğubayazıt in 1119/1707.
