A scholar and Sufi born in the village of Zerdab in the Shirvan region of Azerbaijan, who taught in many places. He came to Denizli in 1826-1827 at the invitation of the local notable Tavaslıoğlu Osman Ağa and died there in 1851. His tomb lies near the center of the İlbade Cemetery in Merkezefendi.
