Of Antioch origin and settled in Manisa, Shaykh Ahmed Vehbi Efendi was the representative of the Ma'rifiyye branch in Manisa. He served as a müderris around 1833 and founded the Entekkeliler lodge in the İbrahim Çelebi neighborhood. He died in 1268/1851 and was buried in his tomb within the lodge.
