A legendary 13th-century Turkmen dervish associated with the Turkification and Islamization of Anatolia and the Balkans, and the subject of the epic Saltuknâme. Numerous symbolic makam-tombs were dedicated to him from the Balkans to Anatolia. One of these is in Bor, Niğde, but it is a symbolic makam and his true place of burial is uncertain.
