One of the foremost successors of Ubaydullah Ahrar; the main Naqshbandi chain (the Golden Silsila) passes through him to his nephew and successor Darwish Muhammad, and thence via Khwajagi Imkanagi and Baqi Billah to the Mujaddidiyya. He is related to have been a grandson of Ya'qub Charkhi on his mother's side. He died in 936 AH (1529 CE); according to Naqshbandi silsila literature he is buried in his homeland of Wakhsh (today Khatlon, Tajikistan), but as no cross-verified numeric source for the grave's location exists, no pin is given.
