A major Sufi who lived in 12th-century Harran. He became among the most respected sheikhs of his era and was visited by Nur al-Din Mahmud Zangi and Saladin. He died in Harran in 581/1185; his tomb stands in a cemetery outside (to the northwest of) the Harran walls.
