In the ancient city in Özkent (Şuayb City) quarter of Harran, a cave is visited in popular tradition as the shrine of Prophet Shu'ayb, after whom the city is said to be named. This is a maqam (not a confirmed grave, a visitation tradition) — the standing remains are Late Roman (4th-5th c. CE) and, with no scientific excavation, the prophetic link is historically unverified.
