Emir Nur ibn Mujahid was the ruler who built Harar's famous five-gated defensive wall (the Jugol) in the 1550s and is venerated locally as a saint. He died in 1567 (c. 974 AH) during a typhus epidemic that struck Harar. His tomb is a distinctive bright-green beehive-shaped mausoleum within Harar Jugol, the UNESCO-listed old city.
