Abu Ahmad Abdal Chishti was a 10th-century Chishti master, disciple and successor of the order's founder Abu Ishaq Shami, who initiated and deputized him before returning to Syria. He was the teacher of Abu Muhammad Chishti and is said to have been a Sayyid whose father ruled Fergana. He died in 355 AH/966 CE at Chisht, his birthplace, and was buried there.
